Am I right in understanding that if I use "Tribute to Your House" during my action phase, setting their honour to [Family], and then use Tortoise Ambassador's reaction during their turn, and chose "action", that their maximum honour for that phase is [Family + 5], and then, when that phase ends, their true honour will be set to that "maximum" (no matter what it was before I "tributed")?
Tortoise Ambassador + Tribute to Your House
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from the Wayback Machine (its copy), so posts it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

That seems to be what the card says by my reading.
