There are several resources on the official L5R CCG rules page to help answer your questions, including a PDF version of the rulebook, a list of Frequently Asked Questions, and a substantial archive of existing rulings culled from various forums. A trip to that page will likely give you a quicker and more reliable answer than posting a question here.
In addition, our forums as a whole have a search feature you can use to help find specific questions that have already been answered here. (Important Tip: Set the "Forum:" selection bar there to "L5R CCG Rules" to restrict the search to this forum only, or you'll get false matches from other forums.)
