Hello.
Motomu is bowed. He uses it action to unbow himself, but a misdirection is
played. The action has actualy being used,so it unbows the other
personality, hasnt it? Or it is canceled because it no longed can be used?
"An action that straightens the card is still usable"-DE RuleBook
"Battle: Once per turn, discard a card from your hand to straighten a Personality in this battle."
More or less the same with a Sezaru under the Gozoku effect.
The action would unbow Sezaru, but then the gozoku effect would make the unbow fail.
So Sezaru could use the action being under said effect? whould be diferent
if intead of autofail, the unbow could be negated for sezaru (as a reaction,
or a may remain bowed on him)?
Thanks.

Misdirection here would not be legal, because it would be redirected MotomuÂ’s action to an illegal target since the action would no longer unbow Motomu.

You know in advance that it will not unbow Sezaru, therefore it is illegal.

Actually, it would be my understanding that it is perfectly legal to play Misdirection except your only choice to redirect to would be back to Motomu.
Maybe you wanted to give your Shusui another little boost.
