A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

OK, just a question about timing and cards in provinces that is not meant to be trolly. In regards to rich vein's interrupt, this is the timing of effects as I understand it: I announce the purchase of rich vein, I pay costs, I announce interrupt printed on rich vein, I recruit it, then resolve the effect of its interrupt.
My question is, how did I announce the interrupt of rich vein while it was still in the province? Can interrupts printed on cards in provinces be activated while they are still in provinces?

You may use the Interrupt by using the exception to the rules for In and Out of Play: Similarly, if an Interrupt creates an effect that triggers after its card enters play, the Interrupt can be used for the action that brings it into play.
