Gaijin Sorcerer + Rite of Travel

L5R CCG Rules board, 3 August 2014 to 5 August 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 3 August 2014

Gaijin Sorcerer While your ritual is resolving, Gaijin Sorcerer counts as two Shugenja.

Rite of Travel Ritual Limited: Bow this Shugenja and one of your other Shugenja and destroy this card: Search your Dynasty deck for a card. Remove it, show it, and, after shuffling, put the card on top of the deck.

Is Gaijin Sorcerer able to perform Rite of Travel "solo"? That is, does counting as two Shugenja satisfy the requirement of "one of your other Shugenja"? Obviously, Gaijin Sorcerer works just fine for rituals that explicitly count participants, such as Sleep.
