Does becoming dead trigger Expendable (Moto Ulagan question)

L5R CCG Rules board, 17 June 2014 to 19 June 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 17 June 2014

Tried searching for dies, becoming, becomes, expendable, and finally Ulagan... I couldn't find anything.

If I have Moto Erdene (or any expendable personality) is in my discard pile, and I use Moto Ulagin "Water Limited: A target Personality in a discard pile becomes honorably dead." Do I draw a card? Expendable reminder text: (Draw a card after your Expendable card dies).

Bonus question that seems obvious, but while I'm here: Can he make dishonorably dead personalities honorable? It seems like he can. (not sure if its relevant, but figured I'd ask.)

Expendable only triggers when a card is destroyed, and destroyed refers to the process of leaving play. So no.
