Hi, I have a question about Daidoji Ujirou. His text states: Engage: Raise Ujirou's Force, and the Force of a target Personality in his army, to equal the Force of a target enemy card.

If I have Daidoji Ujirou and Doji Etsuki (carrying an Akodo Kaiken, and under the force boost from focusing Sudden Movement earlier in the turn) in an army, and my opponent has a 7F person opposing me, can I use Ujirou to set both of my personalities to 7F at the engage step? Also, what if my opponent has a 6F personality opposing me, instead of a 7F?

In essence, I suppose I am asking if Ujirou's action cannot be used at all, unless both Ujirou and another person in his army have force lower than an opposing personality? Eg: Ujirou cannot just boost his own force, and he cannot lower his own force, and/or the force of the other person in his army?

The action is legal to use as long as you have an enemy Personality opposing Ujirou and another Personality in Ujirou's army, regardless of their Force stats. The ability doesn't require that the enemy target has higher force than Ujirou or your other Personality to be legal to announce, so you can use it to just raise the force of one of them (in your first example, only Ujirou's own Force will be affected). If the target's Force is lower than both your Personalities the action is still legal to take but it will fail to produce any effects, so its usefulness is limited.

Does Daidoji Ujirou require another personality to be in his army in order to use his ability?

Ujirou's action has only one target, which may be himself - this sentence under Targeting does not apply: When multiple targets are chosen simultaneously, the same target cannot be chosen twice.
