Stand or Run and Hojatsu Sensei

L5R CCG Rules board, 23 February 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

If I play Stand or Run and interrupt it with Hojatsu Sensei will this action make the duel unrefusable?

Stand or Run

Iaijutsu Battle: Your target unbowed Personality challenges a target enemy Personality. If he is unbowed, he may refuse. If he does, move him home and bow him as he moves. Destroy the duel's loser.

Hojatsu Sensei

Interrupt, w: Challenges created by the action and issued by your Personality with a Weapon bow the other Personality after he loses the duel or refuses the challenge.

Thanks!

No. Why should it? If you are unbowed, you may refuse the challenge, Stand or Run sends you home, bows you, and Hojatsu bows again. One of the bowings will fail, but refusing the challenge is not dependent on either bowing occuring.
