Hi, I've just returned to the game recently and I noticed a different wording on this card then it's used be. Before it was clear that the honor gain or loss can be from anything. But now I'm not sure if Rhetoric is usable after proclaim (I think so) and after gaining honor during the resolution segment (I don't think so).
Rhetoric
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Welcome back!
The wording on Rhetoric has indeed changed, as you can see at the Oracle of the Void.
Rhetoric can only react to an honour gain/loss from an action, which includes Proclaim; it can't react to Events, traits (including entering play honour gains/losses), nor battle resolution.
