Scouting the Pass and Naval

L5R CCG Rules board, 22 June 2013 to 23 June 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Ok.... Sorry for the multi-topic questioning, but, per Sneak Attack and Naval, These two instances do not stack for gaining multiple battle actions prior to the defender. However...

With the ruling on Multiple Scouting the Pass, can the Naval Invasion stack with Scouting The Pass, assuming that the Naval Invasion targets a Naval Scout card not targeted by the Scouting the Pass?

No. In almost all cases such as this - Scouting the Pass, Sneak Attack, Daidoji Yuki xp, Jade's Roar, etc, the attacker will only get one action before the defender's first action. Activating multiples can change restrictions on who is allowed/forced to Perform the action (for instance, I play Sneak Attack, the defender uses Jade's Roar to take back priority, the attacker then uses Yuki xp)

The only exception to this would be a card that instead allows an additional action timed before the defender's first action - the only one I can think of offhand is Scout.
