False Ring of Fire and no "maximum hand size"

L5R CCG Rules board, 13 June 2013 to 14 June 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Is having no "maximum hand size" a legal opportunity to play the False Ring of Fire?

FRoF: Open: If your maximum hand size is 10 or more, put this Ring into play and lose 2 Honor.

Cards such as Mirumoto Taishuu: While Taishuu is in play, you do not have a maximum hand size.

Edit coz I am a duffer

"No maximum hand size" equals "having an infinite hand size". See here: A player with no maximum hand size has an effectively infinite maximum hand size.

If I remember well my math lessons, infinite would be included into "10 or more", allowing you to play False Ring of Fire. Your Maximum Hand Size is irrelevant for False Ring of the Void. I guess you mixed them up?
