Topaz Championship vs Towers of the Yogo

Key text:

Towers of the Yogo: Each of your Scorpion Clan Personalities has the ability, "Battle: Bow this card and target an enemy Follower or Personality without Followers: Bow it."

The Topaz Championship: Choose one of your Personalities in play without abilities. Permanently give him +1F/+1C, the trait "Before the first time each turn another player's card effect destroys this Personality: Negate the destruction", and the ability, "Battle: Target an enemy card without attachments: Destroy it.

Now my question is does the ability granted by TotY count towards the topaz championship? Or does topaz only look for printed abilities?

The Topaz Championship doesn't specify "base abilities", just "abilities", so granted ones such as those from The Towers of the Yogo would make your Scorpion Clan Personlities ineligible for the Event.
