Re: Peace of the Kami and delayed effects

L5R CCG Rules board, 4 April 2013 to 5 April 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

In general, no. Halls of the Forgotten doesn't have delayed effects, it takes another action's effects and delays them, which isn't the same thing. However, a Halls of the Forgotten player could use Peace of the Kami on his berserker after delaying the effects with the stronghold, and negate the delayed effects from the other player's Battle action before they're applied. A more detailed question, with a secific scenario, could get a more detailed answer

I'd also like to make sure that you noticed that the OP asked a convoluted question involving a change of controller because the spell in question, Peace of the Kami, only negates the effects from other players' actions. It doesn't negate your own effects, which restricts a lot the combotastic possibilities of this card.
