Peace of the Kami and negating effects

L5R CCG Rules board, 3 April 2013 to 4 April 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Just asking... If my opponent played Amazing Feat or Fruitless Search/Perplexing Guests/Recruitment Officer or such effects that create stuff that is to be remover later on. Then on a battle later I manage to gain control of them(Shadow dragon/black marketeering) then I used Peace of the Kami to negate the others player effects on the created card. Do the generated peeps stay in play and not removed from the game later on?

Peace of the Kami will negate the delayed effect of "remove from the game after XXX / when XXX" and the personalities will stay in play. This rule allows Peace of the Kami to negate the delayed effects, treating them as ongoing effects that can be negated.

A delayed effect that has been activated but not yet applied is an ongoing effect, and can still be prevented by something that prevents effects in general, such as "effects of that action do not happen."
