When Jade's Roar uses the reaction to engaging, giving me Recon/the first opportunity to take a battle action which must be a terrain, is it required that I take the first opportunity to take a battle action or can I simply pass and use the reaction strictly for gaining Recon? Same kind of question, would it be legal to react if I do not have a terrain in hand?
Recon Reaction: After engaging at Jade's Roar's battlefield: You have Reconnaissance there. You have the first opportunity to take a Battle action in this battle, which must be a Terrain action.

You may take the Reaction to simply gain Recon, and choose not to play a Terrain whether or not you have one in your hand.

If Jade Roar Exp uses the reaction, but the player does not play a terrain, is that counted as passing.
IE. If the other player then passes does the battle end?

Jade's Roar does not give you an Additional action, so if you pass instead of taking a Terrain action, this can count towards ending the Combat Segment's action round.
