This came up in a game. My opponent uses Blessings on his personality to give a force bonus and negate the next bow/send home/destruction. I use Wrathful ancestor on him to send him home. The wrathful ancestor action cannot be negated so he goes home, but does the affect of blessings still stay on the personality or does it get eaten up trying to negate the send home and failing?
Blessings of the Shi-Tien Yen-Wang vs wrathful ancestor
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
The trigger for the negation effect from the Blessings of the Shi-Tien-Yen-Wang happens, and the negation tries to kick in but fails due to Wrathful Ancestor's preventing negation. The negation is used up. No refunds!
