So I can't move in a Scout if it's bowed. Kinda makes the straightening clause useless then.

Brook Cunningham (rules official), 1 August 2024 01:30 · in reply

Not entirely? If some of the unit is bowed, but the Scout isn't?

A player, 1 August 2024 01:32

Ah. Better than nothing I guess.

Alex Jones (rules official), 1 August 2024 06:03

Khan's Defiance was end of Lotus, though, not Samurai.

kempy_nezumi (not official), 1 August 2024 06:30

Yeah. So in Lotus it was allowed to play this ability provided as IC as Tireless. In Samurai it was gone.

Alex Jones (rules official), 1 August 2024 07:02

Are you saying the Samurai Ed rules had no exception for cards printed prior to Samurai Ed?

kempy_nezumi (not official), 1 August 2024 08:05

No. I just pointed that sometimes cards from bridge expansions worked differently in old arc than in new. For Legacy purposes such cards should follow their most recent ruleset it was legal.

Brook Cunningham (rules official), 1 August 2024 13:32 · in reply

Lotus had a bunch of errata to bridge cards to make them ANOTPT, but SE was like "fuggit it".

It does not work with bowed cards. I remembered having to play very strategically to win a game at Topaz Championships against Phoenix Honor where my last movement was from a Scout follower to move a unit back in and straighten it as a final action to take the last province.

kempy_nezumi (not official), 3 August 2024 17:32 · in reply

It did in late Lotus where card could use its ability while bowed to straighten itself.

kempy_nezumi (not official), 3 August 2024 17:33

In Samurai they removed this rule so Event became a bit worse.

kempy_nezumi (not official), 3 August 2024 17:39

From LE rulebook.
