Good advice, I would have to check out what each of those cards do while I am constructing the deck. I've never tried a Seven Thunders deck before.
Hmm.
Someone should make a BigDeck version of the Four Walls deck.
I've built a Four Walls deck with the Phoenix. A different way to win for sure, if you can get all walls and the event in play. It can also win on honor
Until Norikazu Sensei says "Hello!".
I know some of those cards.
Yokuni wasn't a Thunder though, was he?
Flute of Summoning Dragon lets you play up to two dragons directly into the field.
I think I’m playing this too straight… Only one of those cards is from L5R. It goes: Rage Yugioh L5R V:tES MtG Deadlands
I was reminiscing about an old InQuest@issue where all the cars games ‘fought’ each other and Rage won through direct damage to MtG
I noticed...
I will also point out I am post-op and on many painkillers. <.<
Lol I was looking for all those titles on the Oracle site and didn't find a single one. I was like WHAAAAAT
I am sorry.
:baro_sadmiqoeyes:
It's ok, I just finishsed building a new deck on Sun and I think this Mantis deck will work out nicely. I can straighten a LOT of my personalities without having to use Serenity in Air. It's a bonus
I hope your complete recovery is fast and goes well.
Thanks! :D
Question: Ikikashi Sensei + Mantis 20F stronghold. Can it produce 5G on the first turn if it goes second?
The sensei only limits the Gold Production stat. It doesn't affect its "Once per game, produce 2 Gold" trait.
Can Soeka remove a Holding’s Gold Production ability?
"Abilities" are only things prefaced with "Battle", "Open", "Interrupt", etc. So, in most cases, no.
That’s what I figured. Thanks!
Thanks!
If I have announce determination and a kill action on sozen which one wins
Determination
Rules question:
20f arc/rulebook.
Unicorn v crane Unicorn attacks crane
Crane defends prov (A) with yojimbo. Crane leaves courtier at HOME Unicorn moves to prov (C), his first action----> [determined challenge] courtier.
--- can i use [final sacrifice] to redirect the move to yojimbo? --- if yojimbo ALSO was at home, can i use [final sacrifice]?
Key point: crane does not have anyone/presence at prov (C)/ at the battlefield
No. Interrupts aren't Reactions. Interrupts require to follow Rule of Presence ("To legally take an action during battle, a player must control one or more units at the current battlefield. Actions with the Absent keyword are an exception.)" and Rule of Location ("0.2. To be legally targeted by an action during battle, any cards in a unit must be at the current battlefield.") like other actions.
You need to have Yojimbo in battle C to redirect to him with Final Sacrifice.
Btw Final Sacrifice got errata in 20F becasue in Ivory there wasn't required to target BEFORE playing interrupts. So eg you had to play Final Sacrifice before you know what is target of action. That was dumb, so they changed it in 20F and also create new virtual MRP in Oracle.
you need to have yojimbo in battle C
Wouldn't that make the redirection of [determined challege] illegal and thus also unable to do so?
or
You can redirect and the action fizzles/fails?
you may target Personality at current battlefield because of "move a target enemy at any location" - movemen't just won't happen.
Onyx wording is similiar
I even found official ruling from AEG forum. Let me post it. https://imgur.com/a/vK2NJNe
Just click on album as there are two screenshots
Do you have a library of these?
Hahaha, its my exact question!
It's in my Dropbox for years. But it's just a mess - just hundreds if not thousands of files made of Winhttrack. You need to have a software to look through files and sdd to fast file acces. personally i use search option from total commander.
its in dropbox in Various folder - a zip archive named rulesl5rcom.zip
What's the rule on starting decks these days. Is it 40 20/20 or 50 25/25 etc. etc?
what do you mean "these days"? Standard deck construction in limited format is same since 1997 - 40 Dynasty and 40 Fate cards + starting cards like Stronghold, Sensei etc.
Some alternate Legacy formats like Modern (50/50) or BigDeck (80/80) have their own deck construction restrictions.
Ok. thanks. Just starting playing again and was just curious.
I have two questions: Does Temple Fortress give 1 honor on the turn it comes into play? Also, can Mark of Heaven's Favor target it even if it is in my province and not yet in play?
No, and no. 1. Entering play in a bowed state =/= bowing 2. Cards out of play cannot be targeted without explicit text allowing that.
cool, thanks!
MODERN/ 20F rule-set:
[Kuroko Sensei]
If any card has multiple clout tokens on it, can Kuroko Sensei only "remove 1 clout token per activation of an action"?
Or
As long as (1) an action on a card has occurred, one can remove as many clout tokens on the card? (Same goes for when the card attacks with 4 clout tokens, one can discard as many clout tokens on that card who attacked)
Also don't forget that in 20F/Modern you may put this token on Stronghold.
@Brook Cunningham it seems that Forgotten Tomb in his original version allows to put a guys under it same turn you buy it. But in Oracle it uses a bit confusing "After your Dynasty Phase begins" and it read you can use it only at this point (when phase begins) if FT is just already in play.
And what about turn counting? Does Wizard Goblin may enter play same Dynasty you put it under Holding?
Yeah, I wonder if I changed the "place cards under" to a more specific trigger just because I thought it should be timed properly and didn't consider the possibility of using it the same turn you buy it? I assume you've already checked any old FAQs to see if there was some sort of ruling or errata I based this on instead?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Goblin Wizard pops directly out.
In old FAQs there are only informations about Gold MRP (you need to satisfy all nongold costs) and that you still must satisfy HR.
No other special rulings.
Fixed it. 🙂
Is this open a permanent or temporary for the turn?
Created cards are permanent unless card or ability says otherwise.
Ok. thanks
Avenge Your Slights vs Spirited Dispute (and Tadanobu sensei): If I invest 2g, and the opponent focuses Spirited Dispute, he does not get bowed if he chooses to lose. But can I still destroy a card without attachments in his unit and gain 1 honor if I destroyed an attachment? Is that an effect of winning or an effect of losing? Also, does Tadanobu sensei need to be bowed when I enter the duel (ie: take the risk of not winning) or do I just bow it at the time I win the duel to draw the card?
Can someone explain on how the conspiracy token work. Do they attach to card?
You mean from Kobi Sensei? Player gains a Conspiracy token. They arent attached to any card so they are out of play.
About Tadanobu Sensei. You bow him during Interrupt (so before dueling action resolution) segment and it creates delayed effect. If you win a duel you draw a card.
And it looks like Invest effect creates consequences of winning not losing, so Sprited Dispute probably won't affect Invest effect. @Brook Cunningham @Alex Jones
Correct.
Thanks!
