Hi everyone! Quick question - is there any record of the promo cards that were sent out by AEG when they were doing the Koku program? I'm trying to figure out what a Koku prize would have been around the EE time period
Oracle of the Void #l5r
Messages from the Oracle of the Void #l5r Discord channel, copied for Oracle of the Void. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings and the rulebooks may differ.
Read the notes on EE promis in the Oracle
Are you asking about promos sent by AEG for Imperial Assembly members or list of standard rare cards available in koku redemption program?
Both I guess. I don't know anything about how the Imperial Assembly program worked but wanted to find out more about how the Koku exchange worked
Hi all! I'm looking for the Siege: Clan War rules. Does anyone have the sheet, and could take a picture of it?
From Sun and Moon Discord.
Thanks. For some reason, I am a technological clod and could not even post a link to the Dropbox where every Rules doc ever is archived.
Here is a drop box of like everything
Thanks, all!
hah, already pinned.
Hey there, returning player here. I've been away for almost 15 years and remember very little, but I recently got invited to a pod that plays the Samurai Extended format.
I'd like to find some place with a couple decks to start with (not confident enough to build my own yet, the format is too large), but I'm getting nowhere with my search. Any recommendations? I used to play dragon if that helps
What does your playgroup consider "Samurai Extended"? You may be having trouble finding decks as that's not an official format. :/
I'm told they play everything printed by AEG from samurai until they sold it to ffg
With a ban list

Basically this haha. But I didn't know it was not official/widely played
You can use decks from modern and use it as guideline
Yeah, "Modern" is a format that only allows Samurai+ cards, but is also single-copy per deck and 50/50 if memory serves. Yours appears to be kind of a blend of that and OBH Legacy.
Thanks π I'll look into it. Any place I can find modern decks?
You wanna take that? I'm bad with links and other-server invites. π
Here π
I have a side for the Omoidasu/Librarian role of the family. The other is for the Spymasters π
Thanks!
Cool. Just copying this into my DropBox.
I just talked to the friend who invited me, and apparently it's a homebrew set of rules that two players in the pod concocted
Please inform your group that isn't true. Evil Portents was physically released. The Blackest Storm, expansion after EP wasn't even it was fully developed and ready to print. It's in Oracle of the Void btw.
Also, my two cents, "Extended" isn't the best name for it. "Extended" in relation to L5R formats usually means "including older cards"/"going backward" rather than "forward", as it is in your homebrew's sense.

I thirdly corroborate the existence of Evil Portents in a physical form. π
Will recommend the change once I feel more comfortable with the peeps haha
, maybe you could rename it into Samurai Expanded π
Well, Shurien is new the table. When I called it "your homebrew" in my suggestion to them, I meant "what you're playing" not "what you created". Sorry if I misled you.
where are you play group from?
Argentina hahaha π€£
Well, we share languaje but not continent xD
I am from Spain
Also about EP legality, even the really last Kotei tournaments in last autumn Kotei season of 2015 (december) were played with Evil Portents cards.
you know about Sun and Moon? Is a software to play l5r online, there is a specific discord where tournaments are organiced by Kempy.
I also noteiced this format allows non-format legal Siege cards (?) because Corrupt Geisha House exp is on banlist. Is it true?
No idea honestly haha I'll check, I'm a bit overwhelmed already hahaha
Could I get a link to that discord please? π
There's some inconsistency. As many Siege: Heart of Darkness or Siege: Clan Wars cards weren't standard legal as they don't contain legality "bugs". They were mostly legal in Legacy formats, but no all of them. You should ask your guys about legalities and why Currupt Geisha House is on ban lists - this card even should be legal because it was never 20F legal as well.
Thank you, will let them know βΊοΈ
Quick question: towards the end of Celestian, I remember I used to play a Last Step Castle deck and I had a way to recover or reuse strategies from the discard pile (I remember it clearly because on one particular kotei match vs a PX honor player I played Rhetoric 6 times....he was not happy), but I can't fml remember how and I'm not finding it. Anybody has any idea?
Disreputable Deal Focus Effect, I'd guess.
Maybe! Thanks π
