Utemaro and other things
1) Does Dojo Raiden Action is effective on follower tokens (like Utemaro's)?
Sure. The 1F the Follower Token Card has is considered a Numeral (as well as a Value).
2) I play an open warfare on a Kyuden Bayushi. Is teh second wind still legal ? (I'd say yes, but not sure ...)
It doesn't matter. There is no effect in the Rulebook or in play that would remove the Wind from play once it was there. Open Warfare happens far too late in the game to stop the Kyuden Baysuhi player from bringing his Winds into play.
Rules Question
Here is the key point: Bowing the Monk in your example is a cost of casting Chasing Osano Wo. Bowing a Political Adjunct is NOT a cost of using Gozoku Sensei. It is a separate action, so you ignore it as far as checking the Sensei action's legality. (As a separate matter, the Adjunct's action itself is also checked, but since it's a Reaction it's automatically okay.)
So, going by this, you can bow a monk to straighten a ring with the Somesia sensei, since the cost is to bow a monk, right?
During an Attack Phase, if the Monk you bow to pay the cost is in the current battle, that Open action is legal. It's not legal if the Monk is somewhere else.
That should cover everything from Friday, October 8, 2004. If I missed your question unrelated to Dawn of the Empire, please repost it with the flag [RULES] as part of your Clear and Distinct subject line. I'll get back to you at the first opportunity.
