Gozoku Sensei and General Relevance

Does paying the Six Gold have relevance in battle? I was thinking the following:

Q: Is it targeting or coming from a person? A: I am thinking No because it is targeting the affect, not the person.

Q: Does it create or more a person in? A: No

Q: Does it effect the battle? A: Again, I am thinking No because it affects the effect of not being able to unbow.

Affecting an effect on a card in a battle will fulfill Relevance, otherwise In Search of the Future and similar Battle Actions would never be Relevant, since all they do is modify existing effects on cards - Force bonuses in the case of In Search of the Future.

In the rulebook, it states that a person is performing an action if the action requires a specific requirement such as Having more than 3 chi or tactican. Do action that state "Target a Person in this Battle" count as a definant requirement, thus would it be an action performed by the personality or by the player?

Being at a Battle, Opposed in Battle, in an Army, or an Attacking / Defending Personality are all specific requirements that can make one of your Personalities count as Performing an Action.

Oh, and if you meet that criteria BOTH the Player and Personality are performing the Action. They are not exclusive of each other, as per the top line of page 71 saying, "Some actions are performed by cards in play as well as by a player."

RULES

Marty,

Allways a pleasure being the only on in my local play group with reliable computer access, so here are two Dawn Questions. I realize you may need to bounce these up to Jeff

I'm definitely not your reliable source for Dawn of the Empire questions. You'll need to ask Jeff, either through private mail or reposting your question with a subject line that makes it clear the question is in regards to Dawn of the Empire.

Something like "Dawn of the Empire Question for JEFF" might work.

I'll forward this question to him directly - just this once! :)

That should cover everything from Sunday that is not related to Dawn of the Empire. If I missed your question, please repost it with the flag [RULES] as part of your clear and distinct subject line. I'll get back to you at the first opportunity.
