Mokeys and Mantis

Ok so Yoritomo's Alliance and Mantis are the same. How about the Monkeys? If you are Monkey Clan can you buy Mantis and Yoritomo Alliance men on the cheap?

No. The Monkey Clan trait gives a Personality the implicit "Toturi's Army" trait, outside of the current Storyline Simulation Tournaments (Diamond Format, typically). In Open or Age of Man formats, all Monkey Clan Personalities are Toturi's Army Personalities.

Also, the Vigilant Keep of the Monkey stronghold from Soul of the Empire is a Toturi's Army Faction stronghold.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

First he plays unrequited love on kaukatsu.

secondly he plays shame on himself causing the 7 honor loss.

thirdly he bows an imperial messenger to increase the honor loss to 14.

lastly he bows both kaukatsus to send a 28 honor loss to the lion.

Everything seemed legal to me... am I wrong?

It works out fine. Kaukatsu sends the Lion 14 points and Egg of Kaukatsu sends the Lion another 14 points. Just remember that the Scorpion has to suffer the 14 loss and adjust his Family Honor total from the messengered-shame before he can play either Kaukatsu or Egg of Kaukatsu's abilities. If the loss is Negated before his honor total drops, or his honor total drops below -19 due to the original loss, Kaukatsu will never be able to cause a copy-cat loss.

Rules question #9538

If Samurai's Anger is played against someone who has Ki-Rin shrine in play, does he have to remove the abilities on the card since his chi cannot be lowered?

Well, assuming the Personal Honor / Chi statistics are set so that Ki-Rin's Shrine would make it impossible to lower the courtier's chi by 2, yes, you'd be forced to choose the other option - provide the Courtier had any abilities to begin with. When forced to choose between two options by another player's card effect, you can not choose an option where some or all of the effects will fail over an option where all its effects work. (Accumulated Rulings, "Decisions")

On: Ki-Rin

When you overlay ki-rin shrine do you keep both abilities?

The Ki-Rin's Shrine has no abilities. Abilities must be Battle, Open, Reaction, or Limited Actions. Ki-Rin's Shrine and Ki-Rin's Shrine XP both have Traits. Traits do not copy over when overlaying.

That looks like everything from Sunday. If I overlooked your question that was neither Wrath-related nor answered by Jeff, please repost it with the flag [RULES] in a clear and distinct subject line. I'll get back to you at the first opportunity.
