Question (MArty)

I have a Jama Suru with Force of Will attached. I have Yajinden in play. If I uses Force of Will on Yajinden or another peep, is the switching of Personal Honor and Chi considered a lost for purposes of Yajinden redirecting the lost?

'Anytime the current number on a card changes from one value to a higher value that number is receiving a "bonus" - unless the reason for the increase is that a penalty expired or an existing penalty or bonus changed. Likewise, if a number decreases, it's receiving a "penalty."'(Diamond Edition Rulesbook, Page 62, "Bonuses and Penalties")

That'll be a penalty alright - assuming Chi goes from a higher number to a lower number.

Rules Questions

1) Is sinister transformation permanent or does it last until the end of the turn?

It does not have an explicitly specified duration. That makes it wear off at the end of the turn by default.

2) When attaching a Mirumoto daisho do you attach the one chi token wpn only if you can wield two weapons, or does the card allow anybody to attach the second weapon token?

Mirumoto Daisho does not have any effect that allows you to override the restriction on wielding more than one Weapon at a time. The Weapon Token effect will fail unless you are giving the Daisho to someone who has the ability to carry the extra weapon (like Dragon Samurai off of Shiro Mirumoto, for instance).

3) Can you bow a weapon token to pay the cost of a formation like Armed Brigade?

No. You can't bow things that are neither cards nor strongholds. Only Follower Tokens also count as cards by default. Item Tokens, Fire Tokens, Poison Tokens - they can't bow.

Latomu

When Latomu moves into a battle and performs his reaction, do I have to announce which ranged attack I'm doing when I use it or can I wait until they react to the targeting first?

Forwarded to Jeff just because I want to be sure about a few things.

card memory

The Show's "until end of turn" change of control ends prematurely, because the Personality's dead. The Feign Death is what causes the Personality to be in someone's control.

Actually, it doesn't end prematurely - it just becomes irrelevant since when the effect ends at the end of the turn, the last player to bring the Personality into play gains control, which happens to be the same player anyway. Show of Good Faith's effect becomes redundant thanks to Feign Death.

That looks like everything from Friday. If I missed your question, please repost it with a clear subject line including the flag [RULES].

Thanks folks,
