Rules for 8 December 2003, Part 2
A rules digest from the L5R CCG rules team, copied from the mailing list archive for Oracle of the Void. The askers' names are left out. Rulings are as they stood on this date; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
Greetings,
And here's a "constant flip-flop" (or, as I like to call it, a correction) to an earlier ruling: A Personality affected by Shield of Blood goes to the home of the controller, not the original caster (if different).
Kyuden Tonbo Timing
When Kyuden Tonbo's ability is used as a reaction to discarding a card in the end phase because your hand size is above 8, does it cause you to make an additional discard to decrease to 8 again or allow you to have 9 cards during your opponents turn?
9 cards.
Rules for 8 December 2003 - Egg
this is a change for the DE egg?
Yes.
If it is an exact copy including the unique trait then the egg couldn't be in play (2 uniques with the same title) or am I missing something?
The Egg of P'an Ku doesn't become the Personality until after it finishes entering play.
Rules for 8 December 2003
Why does it stop when it gets to you? Why doesn't it continue around again?
Because the card says every player gets to straighten *one* Personality. (Yes, the text could be better.)
Rules question : Asahina Nizomi
Would just like a clarrification as to whether the bonus granted by Nizomi lasts until end of turn or only for the duration of the duel.
The former (Diamond rules, pg. 70).
Rules Maho-Tsukai
Will the Maho-Tsukai trait and the Bloodspeaker trait be equivalent like Diplomat/Courtier and Sailor/Naval?
As Jeff said, no. Personally, I don't think there are enough cards to warrant it.
Kyuden Ikoma timing question
I take an Battle action. My opponent passes when offered the opportunity to react, for whatever reason. I use my opportunity to react to play a Tsuruchi Technique. Can the Lion player now use Kyuden Ikoma to cancel the original Ranged Attack Battle action, or has the opportunity to React passed with my Reaction being taken?
The opportunity to perform a Reaction only ends when *all* players have passed (Diamond rules, pg. 75).
