Greetings,

Rhetoric Question.

If I have a Samurai who is also a Courtier, and he Rhetorics an honour loss to the other player, can he commit Seppukku? What about if he Takes it from another player to his own controller?

No in both cases. A key word in allowing seppuku is that a card have to "cause" an honor loss, as in, be involved in the creation. Redirection doesn't count.

Edict of Glory

Can you use edict of glory on Personalities that you buy for full? Is a Personality you buy actually involved in creating an honor gain?

No, because...

According to the rulebook (p59) you gain the PH to your family honor "before he enters play." Thus, even if it is an honor gain, since Edict of glory is timed "when", does this mean that the target is not really in play yet, and thus not a legal target?

Exactly that.

Does Overconfidence target?

Yes.

Why? It neither says "target" nor gives choice.

More than one card can receive a force bonus at once. A choice is then required.
