Rules for 29 November 2003, Part 2
A rules digest from the L5R CCG rules team, copied from the mailing list archive for Oracle of the Void. The askers' names are left out. Rulings are as they stood on this date; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
Greetings,
Rules Question
I have a courtier out when Eloquence goes off. Can I lobby for the favor with one of my personalities, discard the favor for X effect, then lobby again with the targeted courtier to get it again[?]
Yes. The "once per turn" limit is only for lobying allowed by the rulebook (Diamond rules, pg. 91).
Rules Question
If I am playing either the Spawning Grounds or Temple of the Ninth Kami can I use Eloquence to lobby for the favour if my wind is Daigotsu?
Yes (Black Heart of the Empire card text).
onisu
Do Onisu count as oni?
Diamond rules, pg. 64. No.
Question for Jeff Alexander
What is the ruling with items in the deck? Are they still considered items?
Items are always items. (I mean, what else would they be? Okay, they can also be "Fate cards," and such, I suppose.) Whether they are subject to particular card effects while in a deck must be read on a case by case basis. Hint: look for key words like "your" or "you own," which are definded in the Diamond glossary.
Older expansion
“Do anyone have a way to tell what expansions does each card belong to? I'm told that you can tell by the border...any idea?”
Here you are:

Kuro's Questions
When Kuros fire is used to preform multiple ranged attacks, would Shinjo Xushen (Exp)'s ability affect both attacks reducing them both by 2 (thus 2 ranged 0 attacks) if hes assigned in inf or reduce the possible total ranged strength by 2 (thus a possbility for one ranged 2 or two ranged 1 attacks)?
Aside: Xushen's effect here is a trait, not an ability.
The former (card text).
Also if the first consecutive ranged attack is canceled by a flee the darkness then is are all subsequent attacks canceled also?
Diamond rules, pg. 72. Yes.
