Rules for 11 November 2003
A rules digest from the L5R CCG rules team, copied from the mailing list archive for Oracle of the Void. The askers' names are left out. Rulings are as they stood on this date; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
Greetings,
Quick reminder that I'm not answering questions on preview cards from Reign of Blood. So if you don't see an answer to your Unicorn stronghold questions (say), that's probably why.
Fear and Flee
Flee the Darkness cancel a Fear'
Yes, because anything that targets a unit must always target a Personality.
Rule qestion (bowing token items)
Can you bow item tokens from kiau village for effects?
No. Only Follower tokens can bow.
Question about reactions
On page 75 in the DE rulebook is the phrase 'If you are going to take a reaction you must take it as soon as its trigger occurs' My question is, what exactly does that mean.
That you can't wait until some arbitrary point later in the turn.
If my opponent and I both have a reaction to the same trigger, and both reactions have the same timing, what happens?
Diamond Edition rulebook, pg. 75: Go around the table clockwise from the one who cause the trigger, or active player, as appropriate.
Can the person to the left of the person who created the trigger choose to pass on his chance to react.
Yes.
Then can he choose whether or not to perform his action once he sees what his opponent is going to do?
Yes.
Is the answer different if the opponent reacts to the initial trigger than if he doesn't?
Like other actions, you keep going around the table until everyone passes.
