Rules Questions?
For the purpuse of Outmaneuvered by Force, do Bowed units at home contribute there force?
No (Diamond Edition rulebook, pg. 83).
Like wise does a bowed unit who is Test of Mighted have zero force?
No (Diamond Edition rulebook, pg. 83).
Two Questions: Temple of the Ninth Kami and Sharaku (Zen/Jeff)
if the Temple targets a bowed personality is that personality automatically dishonored due to the fact that bowed personalities can not issue challenges?
Yes.
if Bayushi Sharaku is in a province that is destroyed, can he use his reaction to discard a card from any province?
No. There's no Province, so he's not discarded from it.
Question on Taut Bowstrings
The first reaction on the card is pretty self explanitory. My question concerns the second reaction, and I didn't see anything in the accumulated rulings.
The Archive is not for all questions. Questions that can be answered by reading the cards or rulebook aren't in there, no matter how often asked (that's what a FAQ is for). The Archive is mainly for cases where the text is ambiguous or tricky.
But are you limited to combining ranged attacks from one unit or could multiple units gang up on a beast of a card to kill it?
One unit (Diamond Edition rules, pg. 90).
Rules Questions [Jeff, Zen, Vaughn]
If I attack with a Cavalry Personality who has Heavy Mounted Infantry attached, lay down [Kamoko's Charge], the remove the cavalry trait from HMI to give it +2F, which also turns that unit into an infantry unit, that unit no longer gains the bonus from Kamoko's Charge, correct?
Right.
What exactly does the rulebook mean when it says that ranged attacks must be of the same type for them to be combined?
Legal at the time. Type of action (Battle vs. Reactions).
A few Questions
Palm Strike, it says to target one of your personalities but do you then target the opposing personality you wish to bow?
Yes.
Does Iuchiban get +1F/+1C or +2F/+2C when being played out of Spawning Grounds?
+1F/+1C. It's "Each Ogre, Oni, and Troll Personality..." not "each Personality with the Ogre, Oni, and Troll trait."
Do spells still target the personality when being attached or cast under the Diamond rules?
Attached, yes. Cast, no.
Rules for 9 November 2003, Part 2
I think I can guess what Zen's answer means: "There is no L5R card named Test of Magic." Zen repeatedly stated he wouldn't answer questions about unreleased cards.
Actually, I literally have not seen it. There's so many previews out there that it's hard to track 'em all. Curse you, Jelfo! ;)
