amazingly stupid question
Player 1 attacks player 2, assigning to attack provinces A and B. Player 1 resolves Province A. Player 1 is allowed to cast a kiho (such as Chasing Osano-Wo) from a personality in Province B to affect a personality in Province A. Are they allowed to do the reverse? (Have a personality in Province A cast a kiho to affect Province B)?
Yes (Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 53).
Some (probably stupid) rules questions
Since you cancel the action when it targets, that's before costs are paid?
Costs must be paid anyway (Rules Archive, General Rules, Costs).
[A] Crane player uses the Egg of P'an Ku to copy his own Exp Kurohito. Next, the original Exp Kurohito loses a duel, perhaps to Toku, and dies. Can his Crane opponent: a. play an Egg if P'an Ku b. play Exp Kurohito
