Greetings,
Gold and Diamond rules questions
I'd really like to hear the _final_ answer whether or not Daidoji Rekai exp. can shoot into Ambush.
Can't. She can never be opposing a unit (Ambush text), so has no legal target for the Ranged Attack.
May Chithith be MRP'd?
Chithith is still playable, thankfully. But what I fail to grasp is why the Design team won't bother to fix the error they allowed to play out.
First, nobody has said that they *won't* fix it, to the best of my knowledge. The design team has rarely given advance notice about MRP changes. For instance, the changes in Gifts and Favors weren't announced ahead of time. Patience, please.
Second, the design team has a strong desire to keep errata to the absolute bare minimum necessary. Consequently, cards that are weaker than intended have often *stayed* weaker than intended (e.g., Makoto, The People's Champion).
Third, there are other ways to deal with the issue of Ratling having in-clan shugenja, like, making new Ratling Shugenja Personalities. Yes, you'd have to wait in that case for the new cards to be printed. But then, you'd have to wait to have the current card reprinted so that the MRP rule can come into effect.
The point has been made on this one, folks. I suggest leaving it alone for a while.
Rules for 15 August 2003
Does Kwanchai prevent your people from dying in a battle or a battle resolution?
Both, because battle resolution is during a battle.
I thought that "during battle or duel resolution" was supposed to be read as "during the resolution of a battle or a duel" and it seems that you take it as "during battle, or duel resolution"
Yes.
If I play Fields Of The Glaurious Slaughter, would my opponents gain extra honor by destroying cards ?
Yes.
Razor's Edge dojo
Just acouple of questions on the Diamond version of Razor's Edge:
Which I'll leave for Jeff Alexander to answer if he chooses.
(Rules) About Diamond In Search of the Future and recent ruling
doesn't that mean that using the Tactician Trait for a Force Bonus now comes from the Personality?
No. Follow the ink. The action is printed on the rule sheet, not the Personality.
