When Moshi Hinome uses her open ability to move aura tokens from one personality to another can she move the aura tokens from a bowed personality? Basic question, does her ability target the peep or the tokens?
She targets both Personalities. She cannot move tokens off or onto one of your own bowed Personalities.
Is this a reversal? Because I asked the same question back when Fall of Otosan Uchi came out and you said she *could* move tokens off a bowed personality, because according to the extension ruling on Ninja Shapeshifter, "a card is targeted when some aspect of it is targeted", and that tokens are not an aspect of a card.
Yes, it's a REVERSAL. I'm not sure why the Ninja Shapeshifter is important. Something probably got me thinking that Hinome moves only one token, but she doesn't. She's more analogous to Purity of Shinsei.
Also note that according to this new ruling, Hinome cannot move tokens off herself, unless the Kakita Ariteko ruling (IE, Ariteko can bow herself to rehonor herself) trumps it.
She can target herself with both of her abilities regardless of how the first ruling goes. This is a very old general rule: targets are chosen before costs are paid.
Blade of Slaughter
Can it be used like that. Bowing the personality is a cost of using the shrine. Is the personality gaining the 2 honor?
The Personality is involved in the creation of the gain, so it counts. A dishonored Personality does not have to create a gain directly from her own card to be restored to honor.
Blade of Slaughter-- questions for jeff
i give it to personality A, who is now dishonored. what happens if: a. i ninja thief it to person B: is he dishonored?
No. The Blade was not played.
b. i rehonor A, then ninja thief: is B dishonored?
No. (same reason)
c. (if b) i rehonor B. is the blade now +4/+4?
No. The Blade can only gain +2/+2 once per playing.
d. (in a+b)if B is not dishonored is he now dishonor proof?
a: not until you dishonor and re-honor B. b: no, and he cannot be made so
To provide protection against dishonor and gain +2/+2, the Blade must be on a dishonored Personality when that Personality is restored to honor. It only provides protection and gains +2/+2 the first time this happens from the point the Blade was played. It DOES provide protection and gain +2/+2 even if the Personality it's attached to at the time of the re-honoring is not the Personality it was originally played on. The dishonor protection only applies to the re-honored Personality and only for as long as the Blade stays on that Personality. The +2/+2 is permanent, but note it's gained by the Blade and will move with it if the Blade is stolen.
e. (in a) if B is not dishonored, and i rehonor a, does the blade now gain +2/+2?
No.
Isawa Osugi Q
If you're using the sacred temples stronghold, can you bow it to produce 7 gold to bring an Isawa Oshugi into play? It says to gives the shuggenja the shadowlands trait, but it lists it after the gold production, so to my understandment of the rules it would produce 7, allow to bring Osugi and the rest of the effects are canceled by Osugi's card text, so she does not get the shadowlands trait and you gain honor as normal from buying her for full....
Osugi negates all effects of anything that would give her the Shadowlands trait. That includes the gold produced by the Sacred Temples. (Osugi's trait was specifically put on her to prevent the Temples from producing 7g for her, by the way.)
