1KYoD Question
I sent in a check for 1KYoD back toward mid-July, and it still has yet to clear. Is there anyone I can contact to see if this has even been received?
David Lepore, in Customer Service. His email is dlepore@alderac.com, or you can call (909) 390-5444 and ask for him.
Shadowlands power
I doubt it. A shadowlands player won, and another was in the top 4, but overall they did about the same as everyone else did. It certainly wasn't anything unbalanced. What really happened is that the different clans all chose "Power and Chaos" over "Honor and sacrifice". When that happens, the shadowlands tend to come out ahead...
Dave, it may not be obvious in the ivory tower of game theory, but the Shadowlands are dominating the Gold enviroment in practice. They may not win everything, but they always place well. There are very few major tournaments which do not see Shadowlands in the top 4, if not winning entirely.
Not so. If we look at the 2002 Koteis and both GenCons (27 tournaments total), we see, at the upper end, the following Top 4 placement counts:
Shadowlands: 13 Scorpion: 13 Crane: 13 Phoenix: 13 Dragon: 16
Not only did more than half of the "top tournaments" in 2002 NOT have Shadowlands in the Top 4, three other clans had just as many Top 4 placements, and one, widely regarded as a less-than- top-tier clan, had more.
Q: Akodo Yobi
Akodo Yobi Lion Clan * Samurai * Tactician. Reaction: Draw a card after playing a Terrain from your hand. This is a use of the Tactician trait.
Just to check: May use the reaction if he is 'out of battle' (in home) ?
Yes.
I assume YES, then is considered that he uses Tactician for current battle?
Yes.
In time of war
In Time of War Reads, "In Time of War For the rest of the game, no player's Family Honor may rise over 5 points from what it was when the turn began."
I have some questions about this event 1.- if it's the opponet's turn , can i gain more than five point of honor ?
No. You can gain 5 points on your turn, then 5 more points on his turn, etc. etc.
2.- if it's my turn ,i began with 10 Honor points and i revealed the revering the past ,so i drop mi honor to 7 points (because i don“t get any ancestor) , can i gain more than five honor points this turn :? and so i get 15 honor points because when my turn began was in 10 honor points.
You had 10 Honor when the turn began. Revering the Past caused you a loss in your Events Phase, which is well after that point. Your upper limit is 15.
Yu and To the Last Man [Jeff]
Hi I have a question regarding Yu and To the Last Man. I recently played against a friend and he attacked with a Shinjo Noriyori wich had 2 Cavalry Follower Tokens and a Tachi. I had on my side a Hida Shara, we both passed and I used the Yu 3 of Shara to kill one of his token. Then I played To the Last Man so that he has to destroy cards with alltogether 2 Force and now we don't know what exactly happens... a) Resolves first the Yu and he have to destroy the remaining Token and his Personality? b) Resolves first the To the Last Man so that he can choose to destroy his both tokens and save his personality? c) Resolve both at the same time (and how would this then handled???) d) something other???
a). Destruction because of the Yu trait happens during resolution. [BB rulesheet] To The Last Man is played after the entire Resolution Segment is done. [card text]
