Rules for 3 July 2002

Zen Faulkes, sent 3 July 2002 to the l5r-ccg mailing list, the l5r-useful list

A rules digest from the L5R CCG rules team, copied from the mailing list archive for Oracle of the Void. The askers' names are left out. Rulings are as they stood on this date; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Greetings,

Corruption's Price [Zen/Jeff/Anyone]

Can Corruption's Price be used to destroy a Shadowlands holding when bowed if the controlling player has no non-Shadowlands personalities and no Jade cards?

I can't answer questions on cards that have not been officially released. Before you complain that the spoiler is officially up on AEG's site, this is AEG's policy, which Jeff Alexander has repeated many times. He doesn't answer them until the actual, physical copies of the cards are in players hands, and neither do I.

Sorry.

No problem with Corruption's Price

Under the wording as shown in the preview, it's all one effect[.]

Point: effects in L5R do not have to be written as separate sentences, or separated by commas, or anything like that. If youthink otherwise, please tell me where. :)

Corruption's Price [Zen/Jeff/Anyone]

(and this is not a question for general discussion - we all will have our opinions on how this works, but it would be very nice to have something from Zen, Jeff or even Dave Williams)

It will have to be Zen, since by now Jeff and Dave are in transit to Ohio or Origins. (This assumes that Zen isn't going up. I could be wrong.)

You're not. Alas. Never been to Origins. Must consider going sometime.
