Inner Fire question
Can I use the Tactitian trait after I play Inner Fire on a personality? Does using Tactitian target my personality?
It does as of Gold Edition. You can't do it after Inner Fire.
Rules Question, AOF
Can Bayushi Paneki exp use his action to move himself into a battle?
No. He says "this battle", which requires him to be in the current one.
Shiryo no Shinjo + Isawa's Last Gift
Relevant text:
Shiryo no Shinjo Cards in this unit cannot be targetted with actions by other players during the battle action segment.
Isawa's Last Gift Battle: Destroy an opposing card. The target's controller then destroys any one of your cards.
If the two are on the same personality, is the Unicorn immune to the Gift?
Yes.

But my concern would be if it messes up any current or future cards that assume both players *have* wind cards.
It's unlikely. I'm one of about six people on the planet who knows you don't even have to start with a Wind if you don't want to.
iuchi plains
Iuchi Plains region gives a -1F penalty to all infantry personality followers and personalities. The rulebook says penalties can only drop a personality to 0, but the penalty applies if a bonus brings the person above 0. I just want to make sure on the following. I attack a province that has iuchi plains on it. I attack with an Ikoma Gunjin (tactician, printed force 3) who has attached a Elite Medium Infantry (printed force 3). If I am understanding this correctly, then Gunjin stays at 0 force, but he really has -1 due to the penalty. So if I burn a card with focus 4 for his tactician trait, then his force is only 3, the -1 applies there. So the force of the unit is 3+2=5. I just want to make sure that is correct.
Absolutely correct.
EverQuest is off topic.
I do not think the moderators have fully set up this list for moderation,
We haven't, nor are we going to. Moderation means someone has to read every post and OK it before it appears on the list. It's rediculously time-consuming. We stick with the policy of letting everyone post what they want, and simply unsubscribe members in the EXCEEDINGLY rare instances when they refuse to follow the rules.
Tsukune's Choice Question [Jeff]
Tsukune's Choice reads:
Until the beginning of your next turn, Reactions may not be played during challenges, refusals or duels.
Can the reactions on Asako Towers be used to cancel an Iaijutsu Challenge during Tsukune's Choice?
Yes. The action creating the challenge must resolve before anything can happen "during" the challenge.
Canceling reactions.
I'm fairly sure this has been answered before, but it doesn't seem to be in the rulings, so I'll answer it again.
P45 of the AOF rulebook says
"If an action is canceled, it does not count as having been taken (or even attempted),"
while p48 says
"each printed instance of a Reaction can be used only once per trigger."
For example, I'm playing Asako Towers, and my opponent targets one of my samurai with an action in battle. I bow a shugenja to cancel it. He plays Fall on Your Knees. Does my canceled action count against the "once per trigger" limitation, or can I bow another shugenja and try again?
You can bow another shugenja and try again.
Another example. When one of my Tacticians make use of his trait, and my opponent uses Doji Kuwanan exp 2's ability, does playing Fall on Your Knees have any affect, or can he just use the Reaction again?
He can just use it again.
Zen - Ruling needed ... on Scorpion questions
Hi there, I need some answers to the following qestions that arose in a tournament we recently conducted (If these questions have been previously asked I apologise in advance, because I do not manage to follow all of the posts daily.):
1) As a Scorpion player, when the event "Alliance" resolves, the player calls the Ninja facton as an ally and the question is, is it cumulative the 2 less gold from "Alliance" and the normal 2 gold clan discount for a Scorpion Ninja personality? (I think so btw)
Yes.
2) Under the MRP in GE of "In Time of War," it becomes unclear if Bayusi Yojiro Exp. 2 may use his power to "Open: ... raise your Family Honor to your starting Family Honor." if the raise in honor is greater than 5. (I don't think this was the original intent of the designers, but this is how it looks as of MRP.)
It's allowed. Yojiro's change does not count as an honor gain by his own text, and In Time of War prevents "rising" beyond 5, so it applies to gains only.
