Aliance, bringing personalities and Shosuro Gardens.

1) If I'm bringing to play a personality of my clan and another faction, but had choosed that another faction with the event Alliance, does the eprsonality costs 2 less gold? I mean: if I'm a Scorpion player and choose the clan "Ninja", does my Bayushi Yokuan will cost 6 gold? Did you understand it?

If you choose Ninja for Alliance, all your Ninja Personalities cost you 2g less when you buy them. That's cumulative with any other reduction, so Yokuan will cost you 6g at full price or 4g with the in-Clan discount.

2) Overlaying a personality is considered "bringing a personality into play" for Yodin Sensei purposes?

Overlaying is NOT considered bringing the Personality into play, for any purposes.

I mean ... if I'm the player with the most personalities in play, may I overlay a personality and bring another in the same turn?

Yes.

And What about Unexpected Allies? That personality that entered play by that event this turn had prevent me to bring another one this turn?

Unexpected Allies counts against the limit, yes. That Personality entered play.

3) May I use Shosuro Gardens to redirect any action to or from Abresax? Does it target him?

When redirecting an action, you are bound only by the action's own targeting restrictions. If the action could have been targeted at Abresax originally, Shosuro Gardens may redirect it there, despite the fact that the Gardens' Reaction is Political.

Tattoo - Tattooed question

Is a card with the Tattooed trait a tattoo card? I am thinking it isn't but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask, you never know, Jeff might say yes.

No. "Tattoo" and "Tattooed" are not equivalent.

Rules question - Trading Ground

A question for the junta forwarded from the dragon list.

Hitomi Hokosaki

Recently i've been making alot of use of this card since my honor deck has 9 4 cost holdings in it (Kabuki, Sanctified, Hiruma) it's because of this I noticed the wording change on Trading Ground. It appears that the wording's been changed from:

"Bow the Trading Grounds to produce 1 Gold. Bow the Trading Grounds to produce 4 Gold when bringing a holding into play" (not exact since I don't have card infront of me)

"Bow the Trading Grounds to produce 1 Gold. Bow the Trading Grounds to produce 4 Gold when paying for a Holding." (legendary Search)

I'm not sure when this changed if it was in gold or not but my question is this: Since it now sais "...when paying for a holding" does that count for paying the cost of a Sanctified to produce honor since essecially your paying the cost for a holding to do something? if so that would make them very usefull late game in the deck as well.

The gold cost of a card's action is not the same thing as the gold cost of the card. You are not "paying for a Sanctified Temple" when you gain honor with it.
