HOWEVER, the first paragraph is still true...not because of this card's wording, but because of the way targeting gets redefined in Gold Edition.

I'm taking this to mean that you won't be able to play a second Test of Courage on the same Personality, among other things.

Correct?

Correct.

Promo Cards

I believe it would translate into French as 'merde', if I remember a particularly valuable lesson my twin gave me one day... ;)

In English, 'Shit!', mainly in its exclamatory usage (from my limited Japanese experience).

I believe you're thinking of "chikusho".

As far as I know, all the promos went by all the usual people WotC had for checking that sort of thing, and they're fluent with not just Japanese but some dialects of Chinese.

That was way out of line. Zen didn't say that. He said that intent was impossible to decide on. Watch the comments and pay attention to what he wrote.

Out of line? Zen was suggesting the "Designer Intent" in some cases is an unknown because the origin of the card idea might come from a fan or some other source other than the designers. In my book the orginal source doesn't matter.

Who has the power to declare "Designer Intent" Nicholas? The fan that suggested a card or the design team? I would hope it's the design team.

To declare it? The Design Team. But that doesn't preclude said Team asking the actual originator first, when such a thing is possible.
