Paying the difference with exp levels

L5R CCG Rules board, 25 June 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I am trying to find if under the EE rules a person has more than on level difference in his exp level when you overlay, do you have to pay the difference in gold cost? Such as an exp overlayed by an exp2.

You can't find it because that rule was removed as of Emperor Edition.

My apologies; I thought it was mentioned in this section of the CR, but apparently not! Will fix.

So, yes, that means in the current EE environment that Daigotsu Gyoken Exp2 may overlay Daigotsu Gyoken basic without paying any Gold.

And in the Legacy environment that means... well, honestly, will a little bit more crazy acceleration really make much difference over there? Welcome back, Turn-1-Kamoko-Thunder-overlay, we apologize for nerfing you in Pearl Edition.
