Halls of the Forgotten and Shameful Rebuke

L5R CCG Rules board, 11 June 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

This is an unlikely scenario, but it's got me baffled:

Berzerker A is attacking me. I play Shameful Rebuke and my opponent targets his Berzerker and uses Halls of the Forgotten to delay the effects on him. I suppose he immediatley losed 1 honor from my Shameful Rebuke. When the battle ends, if Berzerker A is at a location other than his home (through Surprise Attack, say, or Opportunistic Advance), he'll move home from the delayed effects of Rebuke. Will my opponent then lose another honor, or is the honor loss only triggered when Shameful Rebuke resolves?

Thanks.

The honor loss is determined during the resolution of Shameful Rebuke, so it won't re-apply after the battle in this situation.
