A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

If something says to bring a card into play ignoring "entering-play effects" (let's say Unexpected Allies, definitely not anything from The Shadow's Embrace...), what types of effects does that include?
A) Entering-play traits (such as honor loss traits)
B) Reactions on the card entering play that trigger upon entering play (such as Kitsuki Horume)
C) Reactions on other cards that trigger upon the card entering play (such as Asako Kikugoro)
Anything else?
Thank you, Anthony

The answer is now in the Glossary here: http://rules.l5r.com/EE_Glossary_E#Entering-play_effects
Sorry to the previous asker for not following up after we came up with the full definition.
