Requesting Authorization vs Halls of the Forgotten

L5R CCG Rules board, 17 May 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 17 May 2012

If i have a berserker and i use intimidation, and my opponent reacts and uses Requesting Authorization targeting my berserker, can i use Halls of the forgotten to delay the negation of movement until after the battle?

relevant text:

Halls of the Forgotten Reaction: After another player's Battle action targets your Berserker: Delay its effects on him until after this battle ends.

Request Authorization Battle: Bow your performing Courtier at any location and target a Personality: Move him home. Reaction: Before another player's Battle action resolves, target a Personality: Negate his movement to the current battlefield from the action's effects.

Reactions are not Battle actions, even when taking during a battle.
