Goju Yurishi + Bayushi Mitsuo

L5R CCG Rules board, 28 March 2012 to 29 March 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

It occurs to me...

I copy Bayushi Mitsuo's ability onto Goju Yurishi, and my opponent targets this personality with an action, Yurishi moves home negating the action.

Does this count as the resolution of a battle action that moved Yurishi? Can Yurishi take an additional action?

I'm guessing not.

Goju Yurishi Reaction: After another player's Battle action targets Yurishi: He disappears into the shadows. Move him home. If he is no longer a legal target for the action, negate its effects on him.

Bayushi Mitsuo Reaction: After the resolution of a Battle action that moved Mitsuo: Take an additional Battle action

Thanks for your time!

Brook Cunningham (rules official), 29 March 2012

Does this count as the resolution of a battle action that moved Yurishi?

No, for the fundamental reason that Yurishi's action is a Reaction, not a Battle action (see here).
