Wierd Rules-Lawyerish question

L5R CCG Rules board, 28 March 2012 to 29 March 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I seem to remember back in Samurai that when a card went face-down, it lost its "memory" about whether or not its actions could be used (ostensibly because the opponent no longer knew if it was the same copy of that card as the one which was used earlier). I can't find any rule, one way or the other, that references that in the Comprehensive Rules. So... that leads me to my question:

If I play Favors, then use Jurojin's Blessing to put it back in my hand, can I play that same copy of Favors again in the same turn, since my hand is a Face Down zone?

Jurojin's Blessing: 'Open: Discard this card and target a non-Unique Strategy in your Fate discard pile: Put the Strategy into your hand.'

Favors: 'Limited: Bow your performing Courtier: Choose a player. He gains or loses 2 Honor.'

Here it is!

Yes, indeed; though, more specifically, because Favors went both face-down AND out-of-play.
