If I bow the weapon instead of the Kensai, does the Personality still performs the action?

If I bow the weapon instead of the Kensai, does the Personality still performs the action?
Relevant text: Battle: Bow your performing Kensai or one of his Weapons: Draw two cards.
In this case "his" refers to "your performing Kensai", so yes, he is performing no matter how the bowing cost is paid.
