Seeking the Truth reads: Recon Text Reaction: After engaging, choose your performing unbowed Scout at the current battlefield: You have Reconnaissance there. Put a non-Unique Battle Strategy in your discard pile into your hand. After this battle ends, if you did not destroy the battlefield's province or an army, discard a card at random.
emphasis on underlined text. how do i define a Battle Strategy? i don't think reactions [that can only be timed during battle segment] count on this one.

A Battle Strategy is a Strategy with the "Battle" designator before one of its abilities.
