destroying a card with lower force

L5R CCG Rules board, 12 March 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I know spells do not have a force value or force modifier but can you destroy a spell eith an action that says destroy a card with lower force?

Yes.

See Card Features, Absent Stats: If a card’s type does not have that stat, the card does not have that stat either – the stat is absent from the card. If something in the game needs to know the value of an absent stat, the value is zero.

Spells do not have a force stat.
