Shiro Chugo and Rehonoring

L5R CCG Rules board, 26 February 2012 to 2 March 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 26 February 2012

A dishonorable personality performs an action with an honor gain. Shiro Chugo's reaction reduces the gain to 0. Does the personality still rehonors?

Thanks!

The personality will rehonor, according to the Timing sequence for the order of effects.

Rehonoring a personality from an honor gain is a Substitution, which occurs in step B.

Shiro Chugo's modification is not Delay, Negation, Prevention nor Substitution, and thus would've been applied in step C.
