Open: If Masaya is face-up in one of your provinces: Bring him into play, paying all costs and paying 2 less Gold. Before the turn ends, put him on top of your Dynasty deck.
When you use Masays's Open action to bring himself into play and you give him attachments, what happens to those attachments at the end of the turn when he is placed on top of the Dynasty deck? Some folks locally believe they go on top of the Fate deck, much like how he goes on top of the Dynasty. I am looking for a rule that would or would not support this.
Some local rules gurus ruled that the attachments would go away the same way the Personality did. The only thing I have found that really comes close to that ruling is this:
When a Personality leaves play, all his attached cards leave play in the same manner as he did. This leaving play is a rulebook effect contingent on the effect that took the Personality out of play, so the attachments are destroyed "for" (as a consequence of) the original effect, but not "by" the original effect.
I would agree with this, except Masaya specifically references the Dynasty deck and his attachments cannot go on top of that deck. Besides, I think this rule is talking about when a Personality is killed with a Ranged Attack, the attachments leave play via Ranged Attack as well.
I am also curious if the copy of Masaya on top of the Dynasty deck retains any permanent abilities or keywords from cards like "Spirit of the Blade".
Thanks!
