A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Hello, sorry if this seems like I'm being a bother but there have been a number of unanswered questions regarding confusion about the new overlay rules:

Can you please inform us whether these are being looked into and provide any guidance as to how such interactions might work? Is this currently a contentious issue among the rules team? Unfortunately no one at our store seems to be able to come up with good reasoning as to how these ineractions should be ruled one way or another, and its been rather difficult to play with the Henshin deck as a result.
I truly appreciate the time and effort. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Those issues are under discussion, yes indeed.
My apologies for both not saying so sooner, as well as the delay in concluding those discussions. You'll have to take my word that things are pretty busy up here in our secret treehouse.
