I am a little confused. He says that that is correct. But, he then goes on to say that it modifies the Limited, but he doesn't say it also modifies the Battle equip for spells?
The question I have is, if Glory is played, will this modify the Battle equip for spells? And if it does, will it eliminate the extra action granted?
So, If I have it in my deck against a spell deck, it would hurt them as well as help me?
Thank you.

Please read all the way to the bottom of his answer. Glory does in fact modify the Battle ability of Equip to become a Battle/Open, but that has absolutely no effect on the way the ability plays (as the Open portion is never legal anyway). The extra action remains.
Glory of the Shogun will not hurt you if you put it in your deck (unless you're playing Legacy, and Doom of the Dark Lord has resolved, and your Fate deck is empty, and the card draw triggers...)
