A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
A player, 13 January 2012
Recon Reaction: After engaging: You have Reconnaissance at the current battlefield. Until this battle ends, your Ranged Attacks that do not destroy their target have the additional effects, "reduce the target's Force by the Ranged Attack's strength and you may take an additional Ranged Attack action that may only target the same card."
What happens if a Ranged Attack enhanced with Koshin Keep's effect is delayed so the target is not destroyed immediately? Does the KK player
- get his additional ranged attack because the target was not destroyed now (regardless of the later destruction by the same effect) or - not get his additional ranged attack because a destruction is in fact the consequence of the action, regardless of delay?

The Ranged Attack has not destroyed a card at the end of its resolution, so Koshin Keep will allow a follow-up Ranged Attack even if you know the Personality will die later.
